Despite our many talents as humans, words might be what we do best.

Words are important. Words bring our thoughts into the real world. They provide our best chance to take an idea from your head and put it in my head. Some are beautiful and some nondescript. Any of them may be powerful, when set in the right place, under the right accent, when irony gives them the element of surprise, or nuance suggests something more below the surface.
In a world constantly updating how it communicates, we get lots of new voices but few new ideas. Much of the messaging we get is either antagonistic or patronizing, neither of which invites honest consideration. New ideas lift us up and move us forward and new ideas have to be shared.
